Competition Delivery.

From county cup finals to international tournaments — we run the entire pitch compliance programme across every venue, every match, with consolidated reporting that league bodies and ground staff can both access at their own permission level.

A single-venue pitch survey is straightforward. Running pitch compliance across every venue in a cup competition, on a compressed schedule, with governing body reporting requirements and multiple stakeholders is a different discipline. It needs logistics planning, standardised test protocols across multiple technicians, and a consolidated reporting platform that different stakeholders can access at different permission levels.

Competition Delivery is our programme-level offering. It combines the core Pitch Score methodology with the operational framework needed to deliver tournaments: per-venue baseline surveys, match day assessments on each fixture, real-time dashboard access, governing body compliance documentation, and a single point of contact who co-ordinates the whole programme.

We deliver this for cup competitions (domestic knockouts, international tournaments), league play-offs, and bespoke competition frameworks. Stakeholder permission tiers are a core feature — the league body sees every venue and every fixture; each host club sees only their own venue and fixtures; broadcasters see match-day data for matches they're televising.

Why it matters

The business case for measuring this.

01
Consistent standard across every venue
A tournament is only as strong as its weakest pitch. Standardised testing methodology across every venue means the trophy isn't decided by a soft goalmouth at a third-round tie.
02
Governing body reporting in one format
Domestic governing bodies and international federations want consolidated reporting, not 30 separate venue reports. Our platform produces single-document tournament compliance evidence.
03
Logistics handled end-to-end
A 64-venue cup competition needs a testing schedule, calibrated equipment at multiple locations simultaneously, and accommodation/travel for the testing team. We manage all of it.
04
Legacy for the host clubs
Unlike one-off tournament testing, we leave every host venue with its own archived Pitch Passport — baseline data and match day records — which the club keeps and builds on for future seasons.

Our Method

How the test is run.

Every step is UKAS-audited. The equipment is calibrated, the procedure is traceable, the data is defensible.

01
Planning & baseline
4–8 weeks pre-tournament: baseline Pitch Score survey at every host venue, consolidated onto the tournament dashboard. Host club briefings and credential setup.
02
Mid-cycle intervention
Pre-tournament remediation window: weekly check-ins with host groundskeepers, targeted interventions at venues flagged below tournament threshold.
03
Fixture day delivery
Match Day Assessment at every fixture, delivered 90 minutes pre-kickoff to the referee, match commissioner and broadcaster. Data uploaded live to the tournament dashboard.
04
Governing body reporting
Running compliance dossier maintained throughout the competition. Final consolidated report delivered to the competition organiser within 5 working days of the final.
05
Host club legacy
Every host venue retains its own Pitch Passport in the portal, with baseline and match day data archived and accessible for the following season.

FAQs

Questions we get asked.

What's the minimum size of competition you'll deliver?
Four venues is the practical minimum for a Competition Delivery engagement — below that, it's more cost-effective to run each as individual Match Day Assessments. We've delivered tournaments at 4, 16, 32 and 64-venue scales.
How far in advance do we need to engage you for a competition?
Ideally 12 weeks pre-tournament for anything 16-venue or larger, to allow baseline survey, remediation window, and logistics planning. We've turned tournaments around inside 4 weeks when required, but the programme is tighter.
Can you work alongside our existing pitch consultancy or agronomist?
Yes, always. Competition Delivery is a compliance and testing programme; it does not replace the agronomic relationship your venues already have with their grounds contractor or consultant. In fact, our baseline data becomes the intervention brief for those consultants.
Do you work with governing bodies directly or through the tournament organiser?
Both. Sometimes the competition organiser contracts us directly; sometimes the governing body mandates us as the testing provider and host clubs book attendance. Either model works operationally.
What does Competition Delivery cost?
Pricing is always bespoke to the competition scope — venue count, match volume, reporting requirements and governing body stakeholder structure all factor in. We issue a fixed commercial proposal once we've discussed the tournament format with you, and typically within five working days of the initial scoping call.
